JOSHUA CARLTON

After getting his start in Corvallis Oregon, Joshua Carlton has now been tattooing for over 20 years. Travelling the country, Joshua’s rise to the main stream was a long one comprised of dedication and sleepless nights.

One of his first majos mentors was Kheely Tackett of Tucson Arizona, and after working with her for some time he moved on to work with St. Marq at New Breed Tattoo in Indianapolis Indiana.

This is were he developed the large smooth sweeping grey with large magnums that he was the first recognized for.

Since then he has travelled extensively, meanwhile writing his book « Advanced Tattoing Techniques, A Guide to Realism » as well as producing three highly reguarded dvd technique tutorials.

Returning to the state where it all began, Joshua currently resides in Eugene Oregon and works at his studio co-operative The Crimson Torch Tattoo Collective.
